Let the screens air dry in the sun or wipe them with a microfiber cloth.
Only reinstall them when they are fully dry.
Method 2: Clean Without Removing the Screens
Place a towel on the windowsill to catch drips.
Vacuum the screen from top to bottom with a soft brush attachment.
Mix warm water + a few drops of dish soap (or equal parts white vinegar and water) in a spray bottle.
Lightly spray the screen and wipe gently with a damp microfiber cloth.
Wipe again with a clean damp cloth to remove soap residue.
Let it air dry with the window open.
Helpful Tips
Clean screens at least twice a year (spring and fall).
Never use a pressure washer or hard scrubbing — it can tear the mesh.
Clean the window tracks at the same time for better results.
For stubborn dirt, a 50/50 vinegar-water mix works well.
